When we bought our first Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog, the registration papers were not yet in when he was ready to come home with us. Lucky enough, I purchesed Rex from a good friend who reassured me that I would get the registration papers as soon as they showed up in his mail - but ended his sentence with, "it may take up to two years". After waiting over a year, and many unanswered emails and phone calls to the ABBA, I finally recieved Rex's ABBA puppy papers. By that time, I was turned away from the ABBA for several reasons.
I am not going to get into everything - the link to the video below was one of the big reasons for having changed our registry.
The man in this video is Ray Coleman. Ray is the owner of CRK Kennels, and the president of the A.B.B.A. dog registry.

Having joined many different Alapaha groups, I found out alot of other Alapaha owners were having the same problems as I - and were going to a new registery (either the ACA or I.O.E.B.A.). Having weighed out the positives and negatives to each registry, I was unable to choose between the two, and therefore I decided to go with both. Since having Alapahas, I have studded my males to other Alapaha breeders who had the same problems as me with the ABBA.
The following post, has been copied straight off the ABBA website, and states the reasons in which they have banned us from there registry, which we are not ashamed of - but shocked by, as we never inquired to/nor were part of the breeders list of the ABBA.
Ken Spitzig dba Triple X Alapahas
1- Defamation of the ABBA
2- Dual Registering dogs
3- Crossing breeding with non ABBA dogs
COE Violations:
1.2 Members will at all times display good sportsmanship and conduct themselves in such a manner as to reflect positive credit upon the ABBA and the breed.
6.4 No ABBA registered Alapaha should be dual registered with any other 3rd Party organization (Registries that requires no proven Alapaha heritage like the ARF, ACA, UCA, URBA, IOEBA, OREBA, NKC, CKC, DRA and WWKC).
6.5 Breeding ABBA Alapahas to dogs of any other kind of breed or to Alapaha's that are not ABBA registered are grounds to have breeding privileges suspended or revoked.
As mentioned above - We were never a member of the ABBA. Therefore you may ask how can we be banned - as we wondered ourselves. Many people on the banned breeder list were never members, and others were members at one time but left the ABBA: because of all their lies, not getting their papers on time, as well as other complications of the registry. After these breeders left the ABBA and began registering their dogs with other registeries, they were found on the list as well. If you are looking for an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog Puppy, a good spot to find a breeder is on the ABBA banned breeder list. They don't lie and defiantly do not stand behind a man who beats his dogs to try and help sell puppies.
In our opinion, the only people that he may attract (especially by broadcasting videos like the above) are people who are looking for fighting dogs, not individuals or families looking for a life long companion.
