Hello again guys,

Time for another update at about 7 months. Carlson is doing quite well and starting to show his personality. Always excited to see us when we come home and when friends come to visit and the first to notify us if something doesn't seem right (sometimes to a fault ie barking and growling when people come in, even Lachlan) I think he feels he is the security system in the house.

The dog walkers adore the Cyrus Carlson team and always leave comical notes of their adventures during the day. He's already had some incidents at the park. Once where another dog drew blood on him for no evident reason (everything was fine) and the second where he fought back when a dog was being to possessive. Short of that he is ever dogs friend and always willing to play. His favourite game right now is to ninja steal the toy or stick from a dog and make all of them chase him to get it back. My parents adore him and look forward to visits.

His new trick that ive been working on is to give hugs. I think he got his moms mushy affectionate side and will cuddle in for a hug. The next time he gets into something he isn't supposed to I need to try and get the reprimand on video. It is hard to scold him for anything when you can't help but laugh all the time at his reaction http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu3XG0QuM7s&feature=related something along those lines.

Hope the wedding bliss is still in full effect and I look forward to seeing you guys in a few weeks.

Hey guys,
>
> I've just been sending pictures for updates but i figure I'd write you an email to give you a proper update as to how he is doing.
>
> We are now at the calm after the storm, it has been a rocky first month with the little bugger but he has finally settled in quite well. (as i write this he is curled up beside me on the couch sleeping)
>
> His stomach is much better and no more issues with runny poop and potty training is pretty much perfect, with the minor accident every once and a while. He is in a skinny phase but was weighed at 23lbs at his last vet visit for his last shots. Lots of his new teeth are growing in and even with that ridiculous vet visit cause of the hives, he is as healthy as possible. I really like having him on the all stages food cause it seems to give him the allowance to grow in to his body at the right pace.
>
> We are going to neuter him just because we are in the city and i've seen what happens with not fixed male dogs at the park, dont want my boy to become a scrapper cause other dogs are trying to one up him. Probably going to wait until the 12-16 month range so he has the right amount of time to develop into what he should look like.
>
> I didn't put him in a puppy school because nothing in the area worked with my schedule but have been doing consistent training at home and he now knows how to sit, lay down, shake paw and high five. Playing at the park off leash his recall and coming when called in going well with a few hiccups when there is something more interesting around. When he is a bit older i have a trainer im working with that does high level obedience, shutzhund and french ring training. If scheduling works well i'll have him rocking it in no time.
>
> hope all is well with you guys and good luck on the last stretch before the big day.
